Who we are?

The Hogar de Cristo Association was created on April 6, 1994 by members of MIAMSI and various collaborators with the intention of taking in working and unprotected children. Currently the Association has a board of directors that continues to fight for children and the welfare of vulnerable children and adolescents.

The Hogar de Cristo Association is a non-profit organization, which is dedicated to promoting the comprehensive development of children and adolescents in abandonment and at social risk, especially those from low-income families and those that are dysfunctional.
To be a recognized organization and leader in the field of children and adolescents. Providing education services, pre-work training and support in social services to strengthen the capacities and skills of children and adolescents and their families, allowing them to be prepared to face life.


  • To contribute towards the reduction of levels of exclusion of children, adolescents and young people in vulnerable situations.
  • To achieve children and adolescents establishing positive links with their peers, their family, and the educational and community environments.

Volunteer Program!

We have a residential program, where volunteers from other countries are welcomed into our institution. We provide them with housing and food, for a minimum period of one month.
